LA President's Club Golf Tournament: Mike Carey '71 leads an impressive field!

The Bronco Bench Foundation and the Los Angeles Golf Tournament Committee are thrilled to announce that, 2008 NFL Super Bowl Referee, Mike Carey '71, will serve as this year's Master of Ceremonies for the LA President's Club Golf Tournament. The field will be further augmented by a number of Santa Clara's current head coaches and former student-athletes. Head women's soccer coach, Jerry Smith said, "I love playing in the LA President's Club Tournament. It's a great way to spend time with the Southern California families who are so supportive of our student-athletes. I'm definitely looking forward to this year's event." Tournament Chair, Peter Moore '77, had this to say: "This tournament has helped to keep SCU's Southern California alumni community connected with Bronco Athletics for over 20 years." In response to the announcement of Mike Carey as the Tournament's Master of Ceremonies, Moore added, "We're ecstatic about having Mike. He's a wonderful example of a Santa Clara alumnus who has achieved great professional success and yet remains so active with and supportive of his alma mater. We couldn't be happier to have him as our Master of Ceremonies!" A Southern California tradition for over 20 years, this year's tournament will take place on Thursday, April 24, 2008, at the Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena.
